　手のひらの中の空想
空想と現実を区別する世界になったのはいつからだろうか。
目に見えない世界を虚構のように捉えるようになったのはごく最近なのではないだろうか。
本来イメージや空想は目に見える世界と同じように確かな存在として僕らの世界の一部だった。
それは今もきっと変わっていない。
変わったのは僕らの方なのだろう。
あちらとこちらを隔てて私達が得たものはむしろ得体の知れない恐怖だったのではないだろうか。
否定するほどにそれは暗く闇に包まれていく。
僕らはあちらとこちらを軽やかに行き来してみたいと思っている。

　Fantasy in the Palm of My Hand
When did we begin to think of fantasy and reality as two separate things?
Perhaps it was only recently that we started to see the invisible world as something unreal, something imagined.
There was a time when images and fantasies were as real as the world before our eyes.
They were simply part of our world. I don't think that has changed. Perhaps it is we who have changed.
By drawing a line between “that world” and “this one,” perhaps what we have gained is not certainty, but a strange and inexplicable fear.
The more we deny what we cannot see or understand, the deeper it seems to disappear into darkness.
I want to move lightly between the two—to come and go between the visible and the invisible, between reality and imagination.
